The Christian County Economic Development Corporation is a private, nonprofit corporation whose focus is to assist local expansion and to promote Christian County and it's cities for industrial development. Christian County EDC's recruitment effort is targeted toward industries that may be looking to expand or relocate. With a 50 mile population base of over 600,000 people, the two major communities in the county, Taylorville, the county seat, and Pana, provide businesses the opportunity to locate, relocate or expand in a developing or existing business park. Pana offers a existing business park (88 acres available) and the new Taylorville Business and Industral Park (84 acres) is currently under development.
